Fields of Faith Brings the Faith in Action to Tiger Stadium
What began as an idea over the summer turned into an incredible night of faith, worship, and community as 1,027 people gathered at Tiger Stadium for Silsbee's first-ever Fields of Faith event.
What began as an idea over the summer turned into an incredible night of faith, worship, and community as 1,027 people gathered at Tiger Stadium for Silsbee's first-ever Fields of Faith event.
The inspiration came after organizers learned about Jasper's 2025 Fields of Faith event through Teron Haynes Young of Jasper County Cowboy Church. Believing Silsbee could host something similar, a team of dedicated volunteers came together to make the vision a reality.
After months of planning, preparation, and prayer, the event exceeded expectations, bringing together students, families, churches, and community members for an evening of worship, scripture readings, and powerful testimonies.
The evening resulted in 20 people accepting Jesus Christ as their Savior, 21 rededicating their lives to Christ, and six expressing interest in learning more about salvation.
Organizers expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), local churches, businesses, donors, musicians, student speakers, coaches, and the many volunteers who helped make the evening possible.
Special thanks were also extended to Kenny Rawls, Ben Hancock, Teron Young, Coach Smith, Seth Adams, and everyone who worked behind the scenes.
What began with uncertainty about attendance became a powerful demonstration of faith and unity in Silsbee.
For those who attended, the first Fields of Faith was more than just an event. It was a night of encouragement, renewed faith, and what organizers described as the beginning of a revival in Silsbee.
