Kingdom Hope Bringing Warm Meals and Hope to Silsbee

A warm bowl of gumbo and a helping hand can go a long way in bringing a community together. Kingdom Hope is preparing to do just that as the organization hosts its 6th Annual Gumbo Drive on Saturday, November 21, 2026.

The annual event will take place at the Kingdom Hope Building, located at 810 N. 5th Street in Silsbee, beginning at 11 a.m. and continuing until the last bowl is served.

Community members are invited to enjoy a free bowl of gumbo with all the fixings, including potato salad and crackers. For those on the go, drive-through service will be available, while guests who wish to sit down and enjoy their meal can do so inside Kingdom Hope's newly renovated soup kitchen.

Now in its sixth year, the Gumbo Drive continues Kingdom Hope's mission of serving others and spreading kindness throughout the community. The event is about more than providing a hot meal. It is an opportunity to share fellowship, offer encouragement, and remind neighbors that someone cares.

With the holiday season approaching, the event serves as a reminder of the importance of generosity, compassion, and neighbors helping neighbors.

Kingdom Hope welcomes everyone to stop by, enjoy a delicious meal, and experience the spirit of giving that makes Silsbee such a special place to call home.

Sometimes, a little hope comes served in a bowl of gumbo.
