Barbara Jean Barraque

Barbara Jean Barraque, 74 of Crystal Beach, Texas went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 18, 2026. She was born in Baytown, Texas on Monday, August 04, 1952, to Joe Stewart Barraque and Vivian Maxine (Vickery) Barraque.

She was a resolute and hardworking lady who took great pride in everything she did, no matter the task at hand. Barbara will be remembered by many for working many years for Jones Abbie Flooring in Silsbee.

Barbara dearly loved her one and only son, Jason. Her friends and family would say he was her first true love. She was blessed with a beautiful granddaughter, Ashlyn, who meant the world to her. She was so proud of her accomplishments. She loved and adored both of them and would say they were her greatest joy. Along with loving her family and friends, she also loved her fur baby, Aggie. She enjoyed visiting the Eagles Club, riding her golfcart on the beach and watching gorgeous sunsets.

She is preceded by her parents.

Barbara’s loving memory will be cherished by her son, Jason Luke Welborn; granddaughter, Ashlyn Montgomery; bonus-daughter, Lorie Montgomery and her husband Charlie, Rashay Nell McDaniel and husband Eric, Chris Crain, Derek Crain and wife Jessica; bonus-grandchildren, Lexie Kisslinger and Bethany Brown; sister, Beverly Barraque Boone and her husband Phillip. As well as a host of family and friends.

Barbara will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
